CHICORY AND ENDIVES ARE THE SAME THING!

It is easy to make sure you don’t mix up the “chicory” used by Chicorée Leroux with “endives”! Basically the 2 different varieties lead to 2 different products. They come from the same family (Asteraceae), genus and species (cichorium intybus), but they subsequently took different evolutionary pathways. Chicorée Leroux is specialised in the transformation of chicory roots from the Cichorium intybus sativum variety.
