Why drink chicory?

Used since ancient times by the Greeks and Egyptians for its benefitschicory is one of the rare caffeine-free beverages, 100% plant-based and contains fiber. Pure, it can therefore be consumed at any time and several times a day!

Chicory is a root, a drink and a culinary aid!

Chicory comes from a root, so it’s 100% plant-based. Sown in spring in the great plains of northern France, chicory roots are harvested in autumn, then processed at the Chicorée Leroux plants in Orchies (59). Visit transformation includes roasting, crushing, extraction and atomization. The products therefore contain no added sugars, just the naturally-occurring sugars, which remain low. Chicory is also naturally free of caffeine and other stimulants*.

Chicory, a drink for a balanced breakfast

Drink chicory  Chicory is one of the few morning drinks made in France. In its soluble form (Nature, Cacao, Caramel), it offers low-calorie, fiber-rich beverages. Mixed with water, it helps hydrate the body. It’s an ideal way to add a delicious caramelized taste to water, while maintaining a low-energy beverage. It also contributes to the consumption of the recommended daily amount of water (at least 2 liters according to the EFSA and as much as you like according to the PNNS).

 

So there are plenty of reasons to eat chicory! Chicorée Leroux products combine balance and indulgence, without moderation!

 

*With the exception of Cocoa and Caramel Soluble Chicories, which naturally contain cocoa caffeine.
