MOLABE is the Spanish subsidiary of the Chicorée Leroux group, European leader in chicory processing. Located in Spain, MOLABE is committed to perpetuating Leroux’s historic know-how, while meeting the specific needs of the Iberian market. About us

Molabe was born 50 years ago from the collaboration of three families with a long tradition of growing and distributing chicory.

A production plant located in the municipality of Zamudio, in the province of Vizcaya, continues to be the place where chicory is made, using the same process as in the past, but benefiting from today’s best innovations and technological improvements. All this to bring into our homes the same taste that we have come to know thanks to our elders and that we continue to choose every morning for our breakfast. Chicory, traditionally used to give color, aroma and taste to coffee, now accompanies breakfasts and moments of relaxation in our homes, to the point of becoming a product appreciated for its high 100% vegetable fiber content and a healthy infusion for the whole family.

Molabe celebrated its 50th anniversary as a leading producer and distributor of El Chimbo, La Niña, La Pilarica, El Árbol and Muller roasted malt. In the 1980s, Molabe began marketing the Leroux range of products, the world’s leading chicory brand.

Roasted chicory

Roasted chicory brands include El Árbol, El Chimboet La Niña and La Pilarica (intense roasting).
All have their origins in the early 20th century and are 100% plant-based, with no stimulants, additives or preservatives and a high fibre content.

Soluble chicory

Instant chicory makes it quick and easy to prepare a healthy, fiber-rich, stimulant-free infusion. It is the ideal substitute for people who do not wish to consume caffeine.
It is available on the market under the following brands: Leroux Bio Natural (organic chicory), Leroux BioCereales (organic chicory enriched with cereals), LerouxNatural, Leroux Chocolat and La Niña Natural.

Sweetener

Muller sweetener incorporates stevia into its sweetening properties. Cultivated in the Amambay and Iguazú regions (on the border between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina), stevia is a natural sweetener with numerous health benefits.
Beneficial for people with high blood pressure, it is a powerful antioxidant, seven times more potent than green tea. Bactericidal and diuretic, it helps reduce uric acid levels. An antacid, it aids digestion, fights fatigue and anxiety, and boosts immune defenses against flu and colds.
