Chicory is a natural caffeine-free plant-based product and full of goodness with no drawbacks: fibre, few calories, and to top it all off, it’s great for hydration! You can drink as much chicory as you want, all day long. Our products can cover all your desires and needs, whether you are looking for a hot drink, a cooking ingredient or any other type of use.

NO ADDED SUGAR

Chicory is like fruit, it contains sugar naturally. We do not add any extra sugar when manufacturing our chicory product.

Natural chicory contains fructose (main component), glucose and sucrose. Thanks to its natural sugar content, chicory may be suitable for diabetics, although you should always ask your doctor or dietician for advice on whether or not you should include chicory in your diet.

PLANT-BASED PRODUCTS

As you may or may not be aware, Leroux chicory is produced from a type of herbaceous plant in the “Asteraceae” family.

This family also includes crops such as lettuce, artichokes and sunflowers and even wild plants such as oxeye daisies and dandelions.

This 100% plant-based product is grown and transformed in our beautiful region of Hauts-de-France.

Chicorée Leroux uses the Cichorium intybus sativum variety for its products. What could be better than a plant to take care of your body and provide everything it needs?

WHY IS CHICORY A HEALTHY OPTION?  

Chicory is great as part of a healthy diet as it can be prepared as a hot or cold drink, with either milk or water, helping to hydrate the body. Chicory is ideal for people who forget to drink enough water and prefer sweet drinks!

When prepared with water, chicory is a low-calorie drink that can take the place of straight water. Chicory can thus help to maintain a well-balanced diet by drinking the recommended volume of water per day (at least 2 litres according to the EFSA and unlimited according to the PNNS (French nutrition body))
